Hi everyone, looking for recommendations on an ocean front restaurant for my wife’s birthday. North Shore, South Shore or even the Cape is fair game. It’ll be a late lunch/early dinner kind of thing.

Tried looking up in Google, but nothing beats recommendations from locals.

Once they open back up for the season, the Bayside in Westport. Small, family owned restaraunt that's like a block off east beach. You have a beautiful view of the marshland that expands out towards the ocean

Casual, but the view is unbelievable. If you sit by the window, it feels like you are on a boat. Back in the day they didn't accept credit cards, and I'm not sure about the winter hours, so call and check first. Kind of romantic in the evening.

A little pricier/fancy, and nicer atmosphere. It depends on your taste. Again, check regarding winter hours.

Both places are right on the water, request a table in front of a window.

Plymouth. Walk around and find the spot that suits you. Lots of options.

It's nice. You can wear jeans if you want :)

Depending on the weather, there is a park you can walk to, take a right when you go out the door of the restaurant (Barnacle).

For a late lunch, you may be able to catch the lunch menu and afford a nice bottle of wine.

Mission Beach House in Revere or Mission on the Bay in Swampscott. Good views. I liked the menu in Swampscott a bit pricy but if you are willing to spend not bad. The one in Revere is on like the 3rd or 4th floor so your view is not disrupted by people walking by since it’s not right on the beach.

Chatham Bars Inn or Ocean House on the Cape are amazing. Call ahead to make sure they’re open.
