I willy nilly tossed a pad of butter onto the pan and it landed perfectly on the corner and stayed that way.

More importantly. Why are you putting butter into a cold pan? 🤣
Yeah, what kind of monster doesn't heat the pan first?
Am I not supposed to? I was making a grilled cheese.
Typically adding butter to a hot pan is preferred to avoid the milk fats burning and adding a bitter flavor to foods. However, a grilled sandwich likely won’t be in the pan long enough to make much of a difference. Butter has a lower smoke point that other oils so will tend to brown faster too.
Oooh okay. You learn something new every day man, thank you
Post results to /r/grilledcheese
Oooh my friend it has been long eaten. No documentation was done.
Well......next time then. Next time.
