Unpopular opinion I really love the film but unfortunately I just couldn’t finish it due to the insufferable voice of Pinocchio! Fuck me it was so annoying, the way he kept saying paaaapaaaa made me cringe so hard lol the stop motion was beautiful and storyline was interesting and the rest of the films seems excellent. I just can not believe how annoyingly screechy they made the Pinocchio character 🤣

Anyone else??

You loved the film? It is baffling to me that you would love a film that you couldn't finish because you found the voice of the title character so annoying.

I will never bother to watch this, mostly because I don't give a shit about a Pinocchio movie and Del Toro movies are trash.

Not sure but I seem to remember Pinochio crying "Papa! Papa!" was a big element of the story

That said, I think I agree. Couldn't put my finger on it, but it's likely his voice that spoiled it for me. And it just wasn't particularly scary. I remember watching this as a kid and it terrified me.
