What movies could not be remade today due to there plots being centered around outdated technology?
The main movie that comes to mind for me is Road Trip. The movie centers on a guy and his friends making a road trip from New York to Texas when he accidentally sends a sex tape to his girlfriend.
Now that movie could not happen today due to the fact that it centered on him and his girlfriend sending VHS tapes to each other through the mail. With Skype, Zoom, FaceTime etc existing today there would be no reason for them to do that.
So what other examples come to mind?
