Not about Nazis per se, but Fellini’s Amarcord might be similar to what you’re looking for. It’s not strictly about fascism, but it (along with authority in general) plays a key role in the film’s themes.

No problem. And I’m well familiar with Vittorio De Sica but haven’t seen this one yet, it’s been on my watchlist forever. Definitely will have to give it a watch soon, thanks!

Also on the topic of Italian filmmakers, Luchino Visconti’s The Damned is also what you’re looking for. Completely forgot that one. That one’s actually about Nazis.
