The thought came to mind as I watched What Lies Beneath(2000). Harrison Ford’s role as the murderous husband just didn’t do it for me. Could be that his many heroic roles etched a typecast in my brain. The mumbling didn’t help either.

Conversely, Morgan Freeman could’ve been cast as an excellent heavy in a few more roles. He was great as killer pimp “Fast Black” in Street Smart(1987). I understand the racial stereotype implication on the latter, but he played that part with an unequaled intensity( and I’m a black guy ; ) )
