At first it starts off like a normal hood movie. Just a bunch of guys who are trying to survive and make it in the hood. Then as soon as the gun comes into play, it becomes like a psychological horror movie. Tupac's acting certainly helps change the genre. Man goes psychotic in the second half. It doesn't feel odd or out of place or anything. I actually don't think it was intended to come off like this.
It's a great movie btw. Definitely recommend.
