“Ignoring someone who is frantically trying to tell you something important” has to be the worst yet most pervasive movie trope of all time.

Seriously, why do writers love it so much? I’ve literally never witnessed that scenario in real life, and it’s extremely unlikely to happen. What’s worse is the message holder is almost always someone whose opinion the receiver should value!

It requires BOTH a braindead message holder and ultra egotistic receiver. Seriously, literally NO ONE would continue to repeat “I have something import I need to tell you!” 3+ times (during a highly time sensitive event) instead of just blurting out the goddam important info.
