As any average person would, I was randomly watching Shrek (2001) the other day and I noticed the pro-wrestling sequence in Lord Farquaad’s arena was playing Bad Reputation. I knew the song for Freaks and Geeks first before anything else. Then soon after my ears popped again when it showed up in a random episode of Cleveland show.
Looking it up, it occurred to me that I also heard it Kick-Ass (2010) and a few other things like Ronda Rousey’s theme song in WWE. Maybe it was just sheer coincidence that I kept running into the song as often in a short period of time, but it made me wonder what other licensed songs out there have been overused to death. What are some you can think of?
