One of my favorite jokes from the Golden Globes is when Tina Fey / Amy Poehler set it up as: "Only at the Golden Globes do the beautiful people of film rub shoulders with the rat-faced people in television." Because there really did used to be somewhat of a distinction between a movie star and a TV star. But even though that joke is from just 10 years ago, it already feels dated.

Once upon a time, there used to be "the movie star" -- someone with the talent, look and charisma/presence to be enough of a bankable asset to draw big audiences to theaters. And of course they'd never do television! /s

Since the streaming era began, the combination of having high quality / big budget programming that attracts high profile talent available in all of our homes + the way streaming has helped kill some of the theater industry has blurred the lines of movie and TV star so much as to make it almost irrelevant.

So with that I ask...who do you think still qualifies as someone who is a true movie star -- both from a box office / industry standpoint, and from an audience favorite perspective? Who still earns the title of "movie star?"
