Was driving down 16, looking at the clouds above the mountains when I realized.. there weren't any clouds 😅

This is underrated my favorite view in the whole state. Yes there are many others, but on a clear day when you come over that hill on 16 and see Washington, it's breathtaking and a truly special NH moment.
What town is this in Ossipee?
I don't know the town, but it's right by Wontons Chinese Restaurant
Best view for the whole highway, good photo
Now we know where to score some Chinese food and a view.
Wakefield, grew up there, best view from any highway in the entire state!
That's Wakefield hill
Agreed. Spent many clear mornings driving from Portsmouth to the Whites to go hiking and always loved that first view of Washington. More often than not someone would pull over and take a picture like this. I think I have a few myself.
Excellent usernames in this thread 👏
Agreed - on a clear super sunny day in the fall when foliage is at its peak it is out of this world.
