Idk if you’re talking about the south of the US, NH, or New England, but there is no context in which the south of any of those can be called food barren.

I'm talking about the extremely rural South of the US, specifically West Central Alabama.

And if you think the South other than metropolitan areas is not a fucking waste land when it comes to food choices, than you can take your Jack's and just go move along.
