Branford has a train service that brings you very close to Yale. There is also a bus line, but most of Branford is too far from it to work. There is also not a ton of rental units compared to New Haven. Branford is an older middle-class town where a lot of older people still own their homes. If you want an apartment near train and bus, you’re gonna need something near Branford center, and those prices are going to rival New Haven.
