I recently just got my first real job, but unfortunately it’s in North Jersey and my salary is lower than I wanted. I’m trying to find housing around the Toms River/ Brick area as I need to be near the coast and needed a middle area between me and my roommates jobs. Me and my roommate are looking for something that’s 2k-2.2k a month bc we both don’t make a lot. It’s frustrating bc there are a TON of reasonably priced houses in Toms River for this price. Unfortunately they are ALL 55+ communities. My parents are willing to sign the lease for me for a 55+ house but last thing I want is to get kicked out bc our neighbors tattle that there’s two 20 something’s living in a house with not 55+ resident in sight. Any advice or if anyone knows decent apartments in the area it would be appreciated!

Don't risk the 55+ thing. The neighbors will tattle, and what happens is that the HOA or leasing agency ends up calling the police, and even though you're not likely to be charge with a crime, it'll be a big hassle, and you could end up losing your security deposit and getting kicked out immediately.
Toms river will probably be rough, for finding an apartment, because it's too close to Seaside. You might have better luck looking a bit farther north or south.
