Newark Museum.

I second this, people love to shit on the mall but it really is a good indoor day trip option

SoJo Spa and that general area - you get nice skyline views of the city. There are other Korean spas that are cheaper too like King Spa.

I agree American Dream Mall is a contender though the stores are closed on Sundays due to the blue law, making it vastly less cool if you go today.

Personally, I'd go to the Newark Museum - small, approachable museum and there's a Buddhist temple blessed by the Dali Lama and then the Ironbound for late lunch or dinner. (Lots of places, or use Yelp.)

What part of NJ?

Silverball Arcade in Asbury

Yestercades in Red Bank/Westfield

Could go to Atlantic City. Lot of the stuff down there is indoors, plus if there's a long break in the rain you can walk on the beach. Also was the museum the grounds for sculpture? It's the only outdoor museum in this state that comes to mind.

Near Teterboro Airport is an air history museum.

I like the Newark Museum suggestion too. It's a special place. The food at the museum was very good and reasonably priced pre-covid. And if your shoppers it's an easy drive to Jersey Gardens.

In the town of Bogota there’s a great bar. Lots of New Yorker’s pay this place a visit, Andy’s Corner Bar.

Yeah, I’ve been there twice and it was fun. It’s massive and there’s plenty to see. I hope things work out and it’s successful.
