I’m originally from North Jersey. I moved to Atlantic City four years ago, as I always dreamed of living at “The Shore”. When people ask me where I live, the first thing I say is: “I live at the shore” as I sit at my desk working while looking at the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the beach. Then, I mention “Atlantic City”. But, THE SHORE is my first understanding of where I live. Sometimes, I say I live on Absecon Island when I remember that this indeed is an island. It’s like a much, much, much smaller island than Manhattan but still has an urban vibe with all the restaurants, music concerts and venues (did you country music fans make it to that awesome 3 day festival on the beach this summer?), and of course the casinos (I mainly visit them when family and friends are staying at them). I appreciate all the various Shore area variety in NJ. NJ is the BEST STATE! We have it all with minimal climate catastrophes.
