Hi! I just received a job offer in Trenton, NJ for Trane Technologies. It will be my first job out of college. I am considering accepting it but want to know a few things about the area and opinions on where I should move first. I am from the coast of Alabama. I love the beach so I am thinking about more coastal cities but also considering just getting an apartment in Trenton depending on my feedback / research. Does anyone have recommendations. I love that it’s a short train from NYC and Philly. I really want to live in a big city. I also love being close to the beach or even on it would be amazing but I do not want to have a super long commute to work. Any advice on the area / thoughts are appreciated!! Thank you.

Trenton isnt really a big city, not these days. Theres almost no activity past 6pm. There are a couple of cute neighborhoods, but youll be bored quickly especially as someone just 22/25.
Asbury Park is "only" and hour away, but your summer commute time with be significantly worse than winter.
All the replies youre about to get are going to recommend central NJ towns, but I would look at PA by a SEPTA station so you can pop into Philly whenever.
