Quiet , more and more redevelopments are getting built near the station...and the LRT might one day extend over from the current terminus.
Do you feel safe walking around late in the night ?
How do you feel walking around in the neighborhood?
At night some of the blocks feel abit shady closer to the Parkway I only went over there to see a friend who has since moved. But during the day it was fine. Bloomfield seems to be investing in street upgrades with an emphasis of pedestrian safety over the last few years.. I have noticed that since the newer developments have gone up that during rush hr that area has become abit chaotic..
Like, from where? The train station? If I'm walking alone, I'd probably uber. But that's only if it's like 1:00 in the morning.
Also, look in the Watsessing area closest to Glen Ridge, off Midland Ave or Carteret. That was the section I lived in. Never felt un-safe.
I would pick chaos and safety together any day !
Thanks you for the answers u/AnNJgal !

WONDERFUL. Great neighborhood. A local coffee shop and bread store close by. Great, progressive neighbors. If you're buying, an older home will come with issues. If you are renting one of the new places, they're really nice. :)
I lived in Watsessing for a few years.
