The really sad thing is that lone house. That's beach-block, ocean-front property in the most densely populated state in the union. The rest of the towns on the island, Ventnor, Margate, and Longport are experiencing a building boom. They're squeezing in development to the point of bursting. They're tearing down existing houses to build bigger, more expensive houses.

In Atlantic City, you have multiple blocks on the ocean-front that look like this, or worse.

That part of the Inlet fell victim to some 1960’s urban planner’s urban renewal program, which was popular in midcentury America, and razed a lot of the buildings there clearing the land in the hopes that investors would come in and build on fresh lots.

Rather look at this and improvements than old beaten down houses and facilities. You can’t have it both ways, safe environment without any change.

There’s another sad single house in that area but it’s a Tony Baloneys in all it’s glory. Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.
