Ascend is now snatching back the $3 they gave back when using debit. They're literally forcing a $3 tip on every purchase.

What was the $3 for in the first place?

See, that never made scense even though they explained it everytime I went. It still never made since. They claimed that when you used your debit it's like an ATM and they round up and give you 3 bucks cash back. But I think it was just a way of getting people to tip the $3. Now they don't even pretend, they just keep the $3 as an additional fee. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

That sounds like utter fucking nonsense to me, and I'd refuse.

If my bill came to $65, and I paid with my debit, I would expect them to deduce exactly $65, not a penny more.

(Side note: I do not use my debit card anywhere other than my bank's ATM. Way too risky to use it anywhere else IMO. When I hit a dispensary I walk in with cash.)

It's South Jersey, but Curaleaf in Delran has a great selection of concentrates, edibles, drops, etc. It is off 75 and 295 south of the Walt Whitman bridge.

Like I said I don't get it. I've only been to on dispensary and that ascend in rochelle park. Hopefully someone else can explain it. Next time I'm just going to use cash.

And I'd reconsider shopping there at all, if this is the kinda shit they do.

The only explanation I ever got that actually made sense (kind of?) was that they're processed as ATM transactions so need to be in certain increments or something?

I just use cash there now. They have ATM machines onsite that do charge a fee but my bank reimburses me (Ally).

Garden state’s lines are terrible even if you order online

Because cannabis is not federally legal most banks won’t allow you to purchase things that aren’t legal. So the dispensary only takes cash so there is no record of you buying something federally illegal. To make it easy they offer to run your card as if you are at an atm. Any time I’ve bought from one you don’t see you bought from a dispensary, it appears as an atm. Atms you can’t take out odd amounts.

Most banks will not open up bank accounts and offer merchant services to dispensaries and won’t until its federally legal.

Good question. The medical card holders can basically cut the line which is fair, but the adult Recreational Use lines are awful

Buy a rosin press and grab some flower from the dispensaries. Once you learn you can have concentrates for days.

Or you can do an alcohol or isopropyl alcohol extraction but this is dangerous and shouldn’t be done indoors due to fire risk from the solvents when they evaporate - alcohol and butane are flammable.

OR you can just pay 90 -100 for overpriced concentrates lol

Concentrates in New Jersey are extremely overpriced and the the options aren't great. I've noticed prices even going up at the dispensaries around me. It's honestly criminal.
