Doesn't this just mean they finished the inbound construction and now they're doing the outbound?

That's surely an exaggeration: no one's stayed in the Helix for two years. One point five years, tops, if the Giants at at home.

I'm glad I stopped driving in. It was truly the bane of my existence. Getting robbed at the tollbooth every year when the toll goes up just to waste gas idling for hours 2 blocks from the entry waiting in line to go thru. No thx. It'd be cheaper to pay a toll going back to Jersey IF you at least didn't have to wait so long to go through the damn thing.

"Similar New York-bound traffic closures that began in April 2020 will end at 5 a.m. on Feb. 4 as the PANYNJ completes repairs and storm resiliency projects related to Sandy damage in the tunnels’ south tube."

This really isn't that big of a deal, how many ppl even know the other tube has been closed at nights for 3 years?

How many NJ residents are trying to go to NY at that time vs how many are trying to come back ( from nightlife or events at this thime)? That's the real issue. Now you gotta go from midtown to almost the Bronx or Brooklyn to get out...kinda ridiculous.

Nothing will ever improve if you don’t actually do construction to improve it. Who cares. Someone get the magic construction wand.
