How to contact NJ DMV

I need to speak to a person in NJ DMV but seems like no way to contact an actual person, the listed number is an automated bot and the other 888 number that I can find seems to lead to a scam.

Does anyone know of a way to get in touch with a person there? Thanks

Which DMV? I got a letter from the Randolph DMV telling me to call them and got someone right away. I'll shamelessly share it here, I don't care: 973-252-3130

People can barely get in touch with a real person when they’re inside the DMV. Their phone line is as useless as the people running the department.

See if you can find an answer to your question on their website or go down there. You might also have better luck just asking Reddit, depending on what the question is.

The fastest response I got when I needed to contact them was through their email. Got back to me right away.

I still hate on DMV but the last few times I’ve been there it was a breeze

I never had luck with calling. You wait and wait and then they offer a call back, only to call hours later when I am busy.

I've had success with email. I usually get a response within 1-2 days. Just be as detailed as possible. This was was so much less stressful.
