It's a tragedy, but once your child leaves the house, all bets are off. Especially if he has no license or permit and told not to drive. That child is now an adult and will be treated as such
. However maturity is another story.
And even if he wasn't, it's not a guarantee that he'd be charged as an adult in this case. Depending on the specifics, I could see it going either way, and I could see myself being good with either trying him as an adult or juvenile (if he was alive).
