This does not equal gainful employment. For the amount of education a teacher much go through as well as continuing education. The debt in funding to potential income does not equal gainful employment with the education earned. On this income a teacher will never pay off their student loans.

This isn’t for teacher pay, it’s for school staff pay. Teachers do make more in LA. But still not enough, IMO. And school staff deserves a living wage too.
