Azrael is NOT Hebrew for "fun times"

Azrael mean "helped by God" and in the Hebrew scriptures, is usually associated with the angel of death. That was the angel of death. You encountered the angel of death just for them to tell you that it wasn't your time.

I'm so sorry to hear about Gabriel, though. That must have been devastating.

I don't think Dr. Azrail is Azrael, mostly because he seemed to delight in taking Gabriel away from Gracie.

Azrael is supposed to be benevolent.

How we know for sure that after all the deaths azrael has witnessed that he has not become numb to the plight of humanity?

That although he may try to soothe that when the time comes they are very blunt about it.

You could speculate they only made it scary for her so that their powers would not take her from her body alongside taking Gabriel.

Could be they were never suppose to be able to share the same dream as the dream was the first sign of Azrael softening the death.

Much to consider and so little known.
