Truly wonderful headline - here's the details:

>Health Canada clarified the parameters for granting the licence, saying the company is licensed to sell for scientific and medical purposes only.

>"They cannot sell products to the general public," the federal department said.

>Adastra Labs can only sell to other licence holders who have cocaine listed on their licence, namely pharmacists, practitioners, hospitals, or the holder of an exemption for research purposes, Health Canada said.

I had emergency minor surgery to stop a nosebleed once and the Dr used liquid cocaine to numb the area. I was nine and flying!

No, they're not selling it over the counter to anyone who asks. So it's not legal yet. The argument I keep hearing about companies that try selling it, online or in a store, is for harm reduction. They say they want to eliminate street dealers selling toxic drugs by offering a safer alternative. I can only believe that if they sell it at a higher potency and reduced cost while generating just enough profit to stay active. Otherwise, they're just more of the same typical dealers, cutting their shit with pig dewormer to inflate their product and max out their profits.

AFIAK, they need to certify test kits -(chemical sniffers) train dogs, etc.

there's a standard that has to be met for the test kit you use to lock someone up.

the target substance need to be standardized just the same.

No. This nose bleed would not stop. I had random nose bleeds, several a year, and this one just would not stop, so after an hour my mom took me to the ER, they cauterized the offending artery/vein, I still get nose bleeds now and then but haven't had one that wouldn't stop since that incident. I have had issues with my blood not clotting like it should all my life, I have had two blood transfusions an picked up a nasty hep c infection from that. Great fun.

1st off, pharmaceutical cocaine has been in use for over a century as a topical painkiller. 2nd off, pharmaceutical cocaine is 10% purity and NO ONE would use it to get high

How do you know it has it worked? It hasn’t been legal for a century so you have nothing to compare it to, for all you know legal cocaine use would quadruple the number of users.. meaning only prohibition is keeping it down to todays user numbers.

Plus the statement that prohibition of alcohol did not work is a historical inaccuracy. Prohibition did have positive effects, including a significant decrease in alcohol consumption and a reduction in alcohol-related deaths.

Do you really not see the violence the drug trade has caused in poorer communities? Its a black market item so that makes it way more dangerous. Colombia in the 80s/90s, mexico now.

Please the war on drugs has been an enormous failure
