In the video and accompanying paperwork, the company claims the kids were hired by a "rogue individual" ... They didn't mention their socioeconomic backgrounds but something tells me you're probably right

It could've started that way, but the higher-ups were equally at fault for not checking. At best, you look ignorant and incompetent if you're a senior manager or C-suite professional and don't know what's going on in at least your own department.

...and then all the kids from on-site daycare disappear for the night to go on a field trip (I know the youngest was allegedly 13). It is ok though as Bob from accounting and Pat from HR are making sure they're having fun and following OSHA standards.
