This is it
Beacon, NY for DIA, storm king museums and small town vibes
If you take it to Poughkeepsie (2 hour ride), you can enjoy the Walkway Over the Hudson.
The Lakeshore Limited line of Amtrak goes right up the Hudson. I would check times, though. Pre-pandemic it left NYC around 3pm-ish, so you got to see the sunset and it was glorious. Not sure if it’s still the same schedule though. It has a number of stops outside of the city.
Metro North towards Port Jervis maybe? Would need to take it from NJ, but that area seems nice plus it has an interest route with bridges and tunnels
Yes! Grab a sandwich at Rossi's if you're up there.
Wooow I think that this is what I was looking for!! Can you tell me more about the Port Jervis Line? Like interesting spots for taking photos or spend the day? And Also, I Guess all trees around the tracks Will become yellow during fall right? Thank you so much :)
Honestly I don’t know much of it beyond having the longest tunnel and bridge I’m the MTA systems. I’ve only seen videos about it, but I’ve driven through the area and some of the views are amazing
Wow it sounds amazing, being a MTA driver must be really cool! I will start in the train driving academy here in Spain in a couple of years, if I pass, you are invited to my cabin✌🏻 thanks ;))

Take the Metro North Hudson line to Beacon or Cold Spring for nice little towns to explore and get lunch at. Or even take it to Breakneck Ridge and hike if you want to do something like that.
