Yep. Taxis are now dead for general use and are probably only worth it now for drunken 3am trips back home or airport shuttling. Train/bus for everything else!

Ubers/ Lyfts from Midtown to Williamsburg are like $45 - $50 each way. I only try to use them when they offer some percent off the next few rides. It'll probably be $60 - $65 by if the economy takes a nose dive. All the tech companies are trying to cut cost by raising prices and laying off staff.
