I went to go deposit money into my chase debit card using their ATM. I first put 1 $100 bill, which it read correctly, and then I pressed “deposit more”. I then proceeded to put 4 $100 bills into the machine, and it took a while and came back with an error. It said it couldn’t read my money, and that’s it’s going to return it. A minute later, it didn’t return anything and said call this number to make sure your deposit went through. I called the number, and I told the lady my situation. She filed the claim, and said it will take 10 days max to get a response. 4 days later, I get a notice that says they can confirm from their research that no money was deposited, and that no adjustment will be made to my account at this time. I literally can’t believe this. I’ve been robbed of 500 dollars, and as a college student, yes 500 dollars is a lot. What the hell do I do?
