I tried to order food online from Tim Hortons a few days ago but when I tried to confirm the order it would keep saying transaction failed. I didn't think anything of it at the time but the other day when I checked my bank app I had 14 charges worth $243. My bank told me to contact Tim Hortons for a refund but Tim Hortons told me the charges to my debit card would be dropped at the next billing cycle. So will I get my money back at the next billing cycle?

UPDATE: All the charges were corrected and I got my money back, thanks to everyone who helped me!

Yes, they will all reverse in time, after none of the charges clear.

Should work out in time, but this is an excellent example of why to use a credit rather than debit card for miscellaneous expenses.

Whether it's fraud or a billing error like this, it's less disruptive to have a hold against a credit limit than cash absent from your primary checking.
