Really good suggestions here for cabin / mountain / wooded getaways and it sounds like that's what you're after. If you looking at other suggestions and want a more urban setting, honestly Cleveland is pretty kick ass for a quick weekend getaway. Art Museum is killer (and it's free!), Cleveland Zoo is pretty great, obviously rock n Roll Hall of Fame. And there are a lot of cool little areas - Tremont is pretty cool, has an amazing "dive" bar with excellent food in the Rowley Inn as well as Prosperity Social Club, a few cool breweries (Phunkenship is a pretty neat spot if you're into wild fermented/sours) and the Westside Market. Could easily make a quick weekend out of a trip to Cleveland.
