Diabetic dietitian recommendations

I'm looking for a diabetic dietitian, preferably in the South Hills, who can go pretty in-depth with us. A lot of what I've encountered is a little bit more basic than suits our needs. Anyone have any good experiences they would recommend?

I’m working with a dietician through them currently and even though I’m only on my second appointment, I’m impressed. They were recommended by a relative of mine who works in the medical field and is also dealing with pre-diabetes.

What type of diabetes? Do you have an endocrinologist? Normally they have nutritionists in house they provide access to. I'm just a diabetic somewhat new to the area though so I can't say my thoughts on specific practices.

My dad is borderline and the dietician at his PCP's office was just minimally helpful. So I'm hoping to find someone really good- thanks!

I gotcha! I don’t know enough to tell you who exactly is good or bad, but you could call a diabetes care center (endocrinologist) office that is in network and see if they have some. Usually they are in office or at least closely related. More likely to have better ones than a pcp.
