If you’re looking for casual/bar food, try D’s in Murrysville or Dad’s in Monroeville

Just to grab a good bite or to watch the Steelers game? If the former, Pasqualino's (Pizza Palace to us old timers, haha) in Penn Hills. Casual homemade Italian, that is the BEST!

Osteria Pasqualino a little further down the road in Murrysville. Great Italian food. Big portions and fairly cheap

Mad Mex could be a decent choice, in Miracle Mile. They have a very good happy hour from 4:30-6:30 (half off drafts and wings, discounts on margs) if you were intending to go around that time.

Big Rig’s has the best bbq in Pittsburgh, but it might not be the type of place you’re looking for. No TVs, very small inside, and you order at a counter and have the food brought to you. It’s BYOB though which is always a plus.

I would have said Mohans but it's closed Mondays. It might be open for the steelers game though..it just hits on everything, super large beer selection, food is on point, and the price is right, crowd is always always pleasant. Still think they have the best wings I've had in Pittsburgh. You can go into the restaurant part or sit at the bar, it's always a good time. It's that bar you can go to on a Tuesday and have a blast.

Dick's diner in Murrysville has the best pie in the area. And the open face roast beef with gravy on everything has me drooling just thinking about it. That said, you'd impress your grandma, but not your date (unless that's grandma).

Fun Asian Bistro in Penn Hills has incredible sushi, curry dishes and Chinese food. Delicious, high quality food.

The only dish I’ve gotten there that wasn’t incredible was their pad thai. But everything else is fantastic.

To be very fair, Murrysville isn’t in the same county as the actual city of Pittsburgh either, and Irwin is like 15 minutes down the road from North Park Lounge, where OP was originally trying to go. I probably would also go to Dad’s, or Gateway Grill, or maybe Juniper Grill in Murrysville, but I don’t know that it’s worth treating them like an idiot for suggesting it.

Meh, Just my opinion, but I'd stay away. I think it's gone downhill and it's overpriced for what it is. I ordered their Drunken Noodles last year and I was extremely disappointed. It was bland. No seasoning or spice whatsoever. I'm not sure if that was just a fluke or the cook doesn't know how to make Thai food, but lots of recent Google reviews echo my experience. Even if the food was acceptable I think it's still overpriced.
