Thriftique over in Lawerenceville is good. A little pricier than Goodwill or Salvation Army, but good stuff.

I honestly feel you need to leave the city for the "great finds". Salvation Army in Aliquippa, Goodwill in Rochester.

There are none. Anyone who tells you otherwise hasn’t thrifted in a city with good thrift shops.

Really?!? I had no idea. I have been there a few times and found great things- new Nikes, Tory Burch wristlet, tons of Steelers and Pens hoodies and tees for the kids. I remember last time there was separate racks for big name brands Vs other clothing. Almost like a “seen at the mall” section.

I've thrifted all over the US (and world), and I think we have some of the best. The abundance and content of the stores is both very good. My only issue is with the price.

Plato's Closet is always a good one. Repurposed for the Thrifty Shopper has a great clothing selection (1-2 racks of brand new stuff). The St. Vincent dePauls tend to have pretty good prices but not the best selection. I also recommend Red, White, and Blue but their prices can be a bit higher and they are usually packed! I've found some good finds at Community Thrift Center also.

Fifty one ten vintage in Bloomfield, the closet in Bellevue, Zed’s in Southside. I guess these are more vintage stores rather than thrift, but are worth checking out if you’re looking more for clothes.

I’ve never seen high quality anything at a Pittsburgh thrift shop. We have some things and stuff at the vintage retail shops, but those are not thrift stores.

I'm sorry that your searches have been fruitless.

Also, you do know that those vintage stores go to local thrift stores and pick through all the good shit, right? When you pay higher prices at a vintage store, you're basically paying someone to buy up cheap thrift store stuff and sell it to you in a fancy boutique.
