I still have a hard time considering anything AI as art tbh. The process of feeding AI prompts instead of going through any kind of creative process just doesn't do it for me.

You could make that abstract statement about any type of request made to an artist.

What is the threshold for a "creative process" to you? If an artist doesn't meet that threshold? Etc..

The ethical problem about AI generated images is that you feed it images and oftentimes other artists pieces or photographs to achieve the desired style and effect.

It also takes away commissions from artists who actually need the work, now that this is a thing companies will just utilize this software and even possibly steal others art to generate these pieces.

I've already seen a lot of artists pursue legal action against people using their art to generate AI images and it's apparent because their signature is appearing in the AI pieces.
