WTF, doctors. Don't ask those kinds of questions. It's not on the victims what happens to the f'd up people who harm them. Stick to your job and remember your oath.

This is another reason why teachers who are not properly vetted and fully certified should NOT be hired!! The amount of “teachers” who are not actual teachers is insane. Yes, it makes a huge difference. By the time I was alone in a classroom with children, I had been under intense observation and scrutiny for 5 years. These types of people usually (but not always) get weeded out well before they are left alone with children. This makes me sick. I hope the students are alright and they get any help they need.

He was arraigned and then released on his own recognizance. Did they also pat him on the head and tell him to have a nice day? Did they at least slap a restraining order and an ankle bracelet on him?

Some armchair psychology, for what it's worth:

You don't think I think that's my opinion. You don't even think you're proving something wrong by reframing it to show it's absurdity.

You're just being difficult and mean and like choosing to use phrasing like "did you forget" you're acting out your insecurity and trying to feed your ego by putting down someone else on the internet.

Focus back on the welfare of the children and helping constructive conversation. I should, as well.

Note for others reading this: My deleted comment was about how the knowledge and particular job of the doctors just makes doing a bad thing worse. You decide if there's any chance it was anywhere near "children don't deserve counseling, and no one should attempt to identify abuse". I'll add that in a possible context we're not aware of (namely one where there was a clear therapeutic reason to ask what the doctors asked), their question may have been a good one. I would still be concerned about how and why it was reported, with the fact that context wasn't provided being not the only issue.

I'm not sure why you think making wild assumptions about me is a better way to have a discussion than simply clarifying whatever point you're trying to make.
