Searching for Nostalgia

Does anyone else remember a store that was on the top floor of the Providence Place Mall in the early 2000s that was over where Hot Topic-Pacsun are currently (they were a really big store that spanned basically this whole section) It was like a combination of arts+crafts, legos/lego robotics kits, smart toys and a whole bunch of other cool stuff? They did art classes and birthday parties, etc. I can’t remember the name of it, does anyone else remember this place?

I was thinking discovery store too. I think it was right next to Oop which was small and sold artsy stuff. Distinctly remember Oop selling popcorn and craft soda for some reason too.

Is that on the side where that lady jumped from the third floor. Or the part of the build someone was living in for years before they found them behind the walls like 15 years ago

If it’s Oop! then extra nostalgia points if you remember that it was on Thayer before it moved to the Mall!

Sounds like The Museum Company to me.

Oop! was over where the Verizon store is now (if that's still there, I haven't been to the mall in years) and they were more of an eclectic americana folk art / global village coffeehouse aesthetic than educational toys and the like. Lots of tchotchkes, gag gifts, ironic magnets, one off furniture, and glass art. Frog and Toad reminds me of that store, somewhat.

Perhaps you're conflating the two or I'm just forgetting some of the other products they sold, but your description definitely reminds me of The Museum Company.

Edit: after googling I think it was The Discovery Channel Store.

I miss Oop! in either case.

They sold Oop Juice too! They sponsored by brother’s little league team (Oop Rockets) with east side little league in the early 2000s and they brought oop juice (aka their own soda) to the end of games sometimes.

Oop! They used to give out goodie bags to kids, I loved taking my son there. When he was 3ish, he took a ball without paying. I explained why it was wrong and we went back to the store and gave it to an employee. She was so nice, she gave him an extra goodie bag for apologizing.
