Saying you'll change is easy. Actually changing is harder. Keeping that change is hardest.

If he is actually making the effort, and it's lasted more than a couple weeks, then I say sure give him a chance. That doesn't mean believe him and it doesn't mean trust the history- it means give him a chance to prove himself changed.

People can change, but it really depends on something else changing to prompt it. If it’s just him promising things will get better… that isn’t it.
