So long story short I've started dating this girl around one month ago, after we made out on new year's eve. Since then we've been constantly talking to each other (also due to the fact that we attend the same classes) and occasionally went on a few dates that always ended up with a kiss. Now here's the problem: I would like to do something romantic for Valentine's day, but at the same time I don't know if she is as involved in our relationship as I am ATM, considering I can hardly understand her feelings because she is really good at hiding them. I am aware that a significant part of me wants to get a deeper connection with her and see if things eventually grow into something more "serious"; on the other hand, going all out after barely a month of dating and no previous friendship scares the living shit out of me. Can anyone suggest me a gift/anything that is not too extreme?
tl;dr = I want to do something nice for this girl for Valentine's day but don't want to go all out since I don't know her intentions with me

Flowers and/or candy are always a good move.
