Hoping for a USA win today, but I have an eerie feeling. Other than the national pride, I think it’s fun to watch here and there but not following too closely.

Anyone else get stuck on the rush hour i95 traffic that ended near SCOR yesterday? That was brutal.

Not a huge soccer fan but I am wearing blue today in support of the USA. On a related note, anyone watch the FIFA corruption doc on Netflix? 👁👁

Today however, is my followup appt with my neurosurgeon to see how things went with my spinal surgery 10 days ago. Hope to be cleared to return to work!

I don't really watch sports

But I got work and then seeing my grandma real quick! Followed by probably tons of homework🫠 I go on vacation during finals week so I'm taking them early and I'm scrambling

I've watched every WC match that I can. Definitely finding an empty room at the office today to keep an eye on the Iran vs USA match. It's win or go home.

I’m definitely more of a sports in person kinda guy. I can’t really pay attention when I’m watching them on tv, never have. 😅

Trying very hard to push through the post-thanksgiving/oh-god-it’s-really-the-holiday-season-now slump. Hoping decorating will help pull me out of it a bit. This season is rough.

Same. I'm on day 6 and it's fucking miserable. Coughing up a storm nonstop. Parents are supposed to visit on Thursday and we have a bunch of tickets to shoes and restaurant restaurant reservations so it just all around sucks. COVID test was negative.

Same for my daughter! She has always hated pizza, sandwiches, bagels, muffins (basically any and all breads). Got her tested a little over a year ago and learned that she has a life-threatening allergy to yeast, plus strong allergies to wheat, barley, and oats. Everyone thought she was a picky eater when it was actually self-preservation.

That's far more qualifying than any of the Trumps by a mile.

We were at my in-laws Friday and watched the entire USA - England match. None of us are huge soccer fans but we felt like it was the patriotic thing to do. We kept asking "how much longer?" It was painfully boring for us non-soccer fans.

It bothered me because I paid $550 out of pocket for it and all they told me was you have intolerances not allergies. You should go to a dietician. Money straight to the toilet.

I always pull for whoever the smallest country left is once the US is eliminated.

Follow up question....how come the UK plays as multiple countries? If that is the case why couldn't we send a team from California and Texas etc...

Would England perform better in the world cup if they didn't dilute their strength like this?

6

Quardener OP t1_iy8cncr wrote

We do the same thing actually with our territories. Most of them have their own international football team. They simply never qualify for anything and this aren’t as noticeable as the UK.

The UK as a whole would likely be a stronger team, but who knows if it’d lead to larger issues with team chemistry and whatnot.

Strep is always an option too! I was surprised how high my kiddo’s fever went with strep. RSV is super rough and there’s some sickness that’s not Covid, RSV, or strep that has MEGA congestion—like a cold on steroids. I hope y’all feel better soon.

That’s how my daughter was with peanuts. Tried to give her peanut butter multiple times. She would spit it out and make face. We figured she didn’t like it. Surprise surprise she is severely allergic. Doctors said she was probably spitting out due to it making her mouth itch.

I plan on watching as much of the game as possible from the office. Fox will give you a 'free one hour preview' on their site. If you open it up in a Chrome Private Browsing window you can quit the app once you hit the time limit, open it back up and you get a fresh one hour preview.

Washington Commanders, Boston Bruins, and Boston Red Sox are my main teams. I support DC United and Manchester United, but haven't followed soccer recently as much as I used to.

My only friend told me she does not feel the same way romantically about me that I do about her. Devastated. She said I had a chance a few months back but she got tired of waiting for me. Now she is dating and I texted out of emotion this morning. Now she feels a bit alienated by my feelings. Taking a long break from each other even as friends. It's painful.

ON THE QUESTION ABOVE:

Yes I am Watching. GO USA or whatever. I like Ohio sports teams more towards the Cincinnati side of the state. Sans the Cleveland cavs and Gaurdians.

My puns occur naturally as the conversations progress; they're rare, wild, organic, foraged. Their puns, though strong, are artificial, manufactured, like a cut diamond; set up and knocked down in a single comment.

The pun market is strong enough to sustain us both and many others, but our products should not be considered similar.

It's been a while since I burned media but I love to have it as a nostalgia and a backup.

edit: you would think people would "upgrade" to cheap USB drives but guess they'll keep using CDs till it dies off

Schedule 35 (where I get mine from) has some good information on microdosing on their site.

We're all different -- body size/type, tolerance, etc., so I would start low at 50-100mg/day and then follow a schedule of 4 days on/3 days off. Try it for a couple of weeks and be sure to reflect on how you're feeling daily. It's important to check in with yourself to see if you're noticing a difference in how you feel. You may need to slightly up the dose, or it may not be for you.

Thank you. I’m quitting work early today because sigh one jackass customer was inconsiderate and that inconsideration caused downstream problems for another customer that I am now being blamed for. I am so mad, too mad to even vocally react.

To anyone else reading: for the love of god, don’t get into taxis or rideshare smelling like weed. I drive for a living, it’s my only income, and now I have to defend myself for something I didn’t do.

I smoke weed and love it too, but NEVER anywhere near a taxi/rideshare. It’s so fucking rude and livelihoods are at risk.

I’m on day 2 of a new remote job… I can’t tell how I feel about it. I THINK it’s a good fit but I’m feeling overwhelmed by it at the moment and that’s causing second thoughts. Everyone that I’ve zoomed with has been super nice and helpful so far though! We’ll see how it goes! My brain is definitely fried though but I still have about 2 hours left today.

i tried to post a post but i think maybe the spam filter caught it. i found a furball (kitten) under my house after hearing it meowing under the floorboards. i really truly wish i could keep it but i have two cats and a dog and it wouldn’t be responsible or kind of me because i struggle to keep up with routine vet stuff for the other three with all the other bills i have.

i sent a few emails and will send more in the morning but if y’all know any rescues looking for kittens or by some miracle someone who wants a kitten for Christmas (NOT a spur of the moment one though like a planned Christmas kitty, do not want bb gifted to someone unsuspecting and unprepared only to get shuffled around) i could really use some help being pointed somewhere. i know sometimes they are full and refuse to take cats because there are so many.

i know my kiddo’s heart is going to break because she thinks it’s the cutest thing ever but i just truly cannot keep it. i am willing to foster it for a couple weeks while it gets more used to people if needed, but homie can’t stay permanently.

not sure if boy or girl because once i lured it with a little wet food and YouTube mama cat meows and got it inside it instantly bolted under my bed. letting it get adjusted before i try messing with it anymore.

a kitten was hit in front of my house very recently and i know the longer they stay outside and become more feral the smaller the chances of them ever getting a home is so i knew i needed to let it in at least for now

any help with where i can help this fuzzball go would be appreciated ❤️
