You’re being overly reductive. Move up a level and look at it as a neural network that is using weights and biases. It’s not exactly the same but is still fairly similar to how neurons in the brain are believed to function.

How do you know we dont experience the world in 0s and 1s and our brain just translates it for you? We dont understand our own consciousness, how can we hope to understand another entity?

100% agree. I have always found it hard to believe AGI will ever be sentient for this exact reason. How can it go from being a computer to say human, how does it cross this boundary 🤷🏼.
