That is super impressive. AR is going to be revolutionary. Tim Cook said in a press thing that he expects it to be as impactful as the Internet. There is a decent possibility that he is right.

This sort of thing is how you know Apple is doing some serious work on an AR headset, somewhere.
When they started sticking those LiDAR sensors on all of their consumer devices, it was really just an excuse to start scaling production of them, so they could create economies of scale before they started cranking out headsets.

Yes, Apple is designing AR tech. There is certainly a feedback loop, but they chose to design the tech BECAUSE they believe that it'll be revolutionary, not the other way around.

Good point, the average apple consumer isn't asking or begging for the tech. Apples version has the potential to be a real turning point.
