Thanks for the suggestion. I find the effort to install the app the most important because it teaches people to co-host apps if they want to use them rather than being simply consumers that want convenience. Being mainstream is not the main idea here. It's rather hacky and aimed at people who are genuinely interested.

No matter how complex the idea, you can explain them in simple terms if they have fundamental merit. Use the Feynman technique.

Its not about convenience, it's about the up-front cost to determine if the information is even worth taking a closer look at. With social media everyone is pretty much information overloaded, so anything that takes to long to determine its value just gets written off by default, simply because of the competition for attention.
