We don't have enough modules in our neocortex to know what's beyond our comprehension.

There will be qualitatively new things when people enhance their neocortex, but that's all we know right now, because it's literally impossible to have any understanding of what's beyond the scope of our current neocortex until we transcend by enhancing our neocortex.
