Sure.

Adam from RethinkX here. When the other technology subs started getting overrun by doomscrollers and stopped being about a brighter future a few years back, I switched to this sub for futurism and disruption related news and it’s been great - much better curation of current news and much more thoughtful and well-informed discussions.
I usually only lurk, but if you want to message the mods and have them DM me, I’d be happy to do an AMA sometime.

When you say "and quite frankly with enough re-distribution of wealth that would probably be possible even today, in the wealthier economies of the world."... You assume that with that redistribution everyone will keep working the same way that they have been doing it till now, right?

Probably woudn't be the case. I mean, I probably would not work if I don't have the need.
Just saying.

tldr; We need fission rollout. We need it now and we need as much as we can get as fast as we can get it. Energy is the single largest contributor to the cost of all things.

I don't know too much about fission or its future. Please make a post on r/OurGreenFuture and enlighten me

Fission is well understood and completely solved. Its future is entirely political.

Poverty is already a political choice. Give everyone basic income and nobody would be in poverty, and that money would go into the economy, and the government would make money every year.
But since politics is stupid, basic income won't happen worldwide soon enough, so an alternative is required: apply AI to atomically precise manufacturing research to bring its advent closer to reality so the nanofactory will finally be created which will enable post-scarcity for everyone.
