It's just.. getting a bit much when I see every post theorizing or posting an article about future tech, and the discussions in the comments always have someone asking thoughtful questions often skeptical of peoples ideas, and the responses are almost always ''it will be this great beautiful future because of AGI/UBI/AI and we will all be immortal beings'' with no real facts or evidence, just several paragraphs detailing the future utopia they have in their heads.
Why do most of you believe you're guaranteed a utopia based on these developments? Why is every skeptical/critical response downvoted and given really lackluster evidence-based counter arguments? The transhumanism subreddit has this issue too and i'm not entirely sure where it comes from.
