Heat death of the universe and astroids are like the only things in the world that actually give me some kind of existential anxiety.

When I think about astroids I immediately feel paranoid, like we're a sitting target, all the eggs in one basket kind of thing

I think you’re underestimating how small we are and just how big and empty space is. Probability of something significant hitting us is extremely low especially when you think of timescale also.
