This may sound bad but they might have her locked down for her own protection. There is a lot of people who would want to do her harm at the moment. It would be hard to say as the idea of her arrested makes a better story in these times.

No but it’s important to see more then one side of things. They can be shorty people and doing something right. They can be doing something right for the wrong reasons. She represents their beliefs and this incident happen. They wouldn’t want the extremists on their end to hurt her when they can spin her story.
