Temp Housing Request

Hello r/springfieldMO!

I have someone (1 person) looking for housing options for the duration of about 2 months starting in January. Not being from Springfield or very familiar with the area, what options are there around? Anyone have any recommendations?

Really the only requirement is a safe neighborhood, but other things that made the wishlist are below:

  1. Independent housing. Would prefer not a random bedroom in someone's house.
  2. Allows pets (dog specifically).
  3. Room for 1 additional person on the occasional weekend.
  4. Reasonably affordable. Don't need the most expensive options.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Looking for furnished places; that would be another requirement.

there's like....4 different mom-n-pop ran craigslist motels in branson off the top of my head i know of that'd fit that bill perfectly. but it's christian-vegas and it's 40 mins away. 620-800 month though, can't beat that. they're always posted on craigslist but i could dm you a personal recommendation of one of the actual good yet still affordable ones that i'm in now while here for annual work these last few months, if they're considering it.

There are a couple of detached guest houses on Airbnb that would probably work something out with you - most of the actual houses on there seem to be out of your price range

However - I have found lots of folks who use Airbnb are open to outside deals with folks
